Evening all,
I am from up north and would appreciate some help in planning how to get from St Pancras/King's Cross to Derby Rd, London SW14 7DP - this is apparently East Sheen or Richmond area??
So far I have ascertained that I need to get to East Putney (via Victoria Line to Victoria and then the District Line to East Putney and then get on a bus heading towards Richmond Bus Station, getting off at Temple Sheen Rd and then walking for 7 minutes
This seems really complicated and long to me - does anyone have any ideas? How much would a taxi from East Putney cost do you think?
Would appreciate any help!
thanks in anticipation

you can take the Piccadilly Line from Kings X to Hammersmith, and then take the 33 bus to East Sheen....
Hammersmith bus station is just upstairs when you come out of the tube exit.....0 -
Thanks very much Penny Lane - that seems a bit more straightforward!
Do you by any chance know Derby Rd?

No, sorry...I dont know that particular road...I am from "up north" myself....but lived in west london for many years
the 33 bus goes from stop B upstairs at Hammersmith if you are taking that route.0 -
I would think you could go to Richmond station and catch a bus along the Upper Richmond Road - it is quite a busy road.... someone might be able to tell you which one though0
-
Thanks button has disappeared - so thanks! I'll let you know how I get on

Nope - direct trains from Waterloo. Although you could get my little train, the Silverlink, from Highbury & Islington (one stop on tube) direct to Richmond. Take ya 45 minutes but misses out central London.0 -
You need to try
Transport For London's excellent journey planner - it will consider trains buses walking etc and give you all you need to know timings maps etc
Put in kings cross station and East Sheen as a "place of interest" then select one of the Esat sheen options ranging form hotels etc and it tells you where to go.
I notice that it warns of some disruption to some routes for your journey.
