Very Poor Comet Repair

About three weeks ago, my family computer (which is the only computer in my house, which my two brothers and mother use for banking, work and gaming purposes) failed due to a problem with the graphics card. As it was under warrantee, we called Comet and they arranged for it to be picked up and taken away for repair.
Today, the computer was returned. It was returned with visual damage to the computer as one panel from the computer was missing, and another was detached from the main body. I rang them up straight away and they gave very, very poor customer service but I did manage to arrange for it to be picked up. Stupidly, I had not plugged in my computer before this phone call because if I had, I would have also been able to tell them that the computer now refuses to load. This was not a problem before being sent away.
As my computer is in a worst state than it was when it was sent for repair, what rights do I have? What can I do?

Your first step is to back up your data, if you hadn't before, and quickly. You might not get it back from Comet.
This may need you to take the PC to a specialist since you can't start it up. You'll need to access the hard disk from another machine to get the data off.0 -
I backed up my data before I sent it away the first time, as they had requested the recovery disks. So everything is backed up.0

You have a right to a repair, replacement or refund -- their choice.0

Thanks. It is being sent back today and if it is not sorted, I will demand a replacement. Very unhappy with Comet.0
