B.O.S. are part of HBOS. I would advise contacting the bank rather than the DCA as they'd probably try and hassle you into more payment.

I have rung these people to challenge them over their letter, and as sol00 said they tried to ask for more money,i explained that the payment i have agreed with HBOS for £1.00 is legally binding. Also told him that i am on the brink of bankruptcy, and just waiting on the funds, being chased up by citizens advice on my behalf. I know if i goto court due to debt collecters not wanting my payment, the court will act in my favour due to unemployment and high level of debt. I rang these debt collectors on a freephone number 0800 056 0808,no press this or that number, just had to hold on until someone answered. Got number from say no to 0870.

thanks for advice sol00 appreciate it.

    Don't use 0870 2402502 as it's no longer in use. Use 0870 2405138 instead!

Their opening hours are 8am to 7.30pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 4pm Saturdays.

It seems that that number is no longer used. And the number that they give you is for auto traders.

    Any others ideas anyone?

    It is Tel. 0131 442 7777
I've just been talking to them
Its a switchboard for more than one company. They will try to give you the 0870 but when I insisted they put me through instead

    Not anymore
Their new 0870 number is now 0870 3330290
Call their switchboard on Tel. 0131 442 7777 . They will try and palm you off with the 0870
Just insist to be put through. Say your phone is barred from premium numbers which includes 0870 numbers
  • hi does anyone have an email contact for this firm it would really be appreciated.

The correct phone number is 0845 601 0521

and to above poster, only phone and letters can be used, they do not deal in emails.
  • Alternative number is 0845 603 4435
