USA 3 pin sockets

Morning all, I am off to the USA soon and have bought a US power lead for my netbook, it is a 3 pin plug. So are the 3 pin sockets common now in US Hotel/Motel rooms?

The lead is like this.

  • Yes, that will be fine. I do exactly the same thing and jave the same lead.

Although the majority of laptop power supplies will work on voltages between 110v and 240v, you should double check this before you go. It should be clearly stated on the lable on the unit.
  • Thanks, I was pretty confident it'd be OK but had visions of some places not having them and the netbook battery being flat.
