Hobbycraft sell everything you need for heat embossing - have a look on their website.
I think you basically use a normal rubber stamp and ink & stamp it onto the card, then sprinkle with embossing powder and heat it up (using a hairdryer?? I don't know, someone more crafty could advise!!) - so you could buy a firework rubber stamp (e**y?), some silver/gold/whatever colour ink and some silver/gold/whatever colour embossing powder...
But like I said, I'm no expert, that's my guess at how it's done...0 -
Those look like they are letterpress printed (using metal letters and embellishments which need to be hand set) rather than digitally printed. Printing digitally is much cheaper but you don't get the same debossed finish. My fiance and I had ours printed at Hello Lucky (who do letterpress and digital printing) and we were very happy with them. If you are really set on having letterpress there is a company in East London called hand and eye press who do some amazing stuff (not cheap though, particularly if you want more than one colour). My advice would be to go for a good quality board and get your invites printed digitally - printing on good quality board will be much more noticeable than the embossed effect you get from letterpress.0
