NatWest Paying In Slips

Hi there,
I'm currently overseas. So I've asked a friend to bank a cheque for me into my NatWest current account. I was thinking of sending him a pre-printed paying slip - see here

However, this paying slip is from 2008. So I'm wondering whether it would be still valid? Also, I'm wondering whether my friend needs some sort of other documentation to pay in the cheque for me? Or is it enough for him to just take one of those filled-out slips and bank the cheque for me at NatWest?
Thanks!

I dont think they expire, they only need it to make sure its credited to the correct account, so Im sure it will be fine. I normally just fill one out from my cheque book, and stick in the quick deposit box with the cash/cheqes, and have had no problemsDebt free and staying that way! :beer:0

You dont need a paying in slip to pay money into a natwest account.
You can just tell the cashier the account number and sort code.
Otherwise to use a deposit envelope you write the bank details on the back.Im an ex employee RBS GroupHowever Any Opinion Given On MSE Is Strictly My Own0 -

Just tell your friend the sort code, account number and account name. Your friend can then go to the bank and pay it in by filling in a paying-in slip which will be available in the branch.0

My dad has my NatWest bank details if I make an eBay purchase for him and he just goes into his local branch with my details and payment and all sorted no problemos. Deposits in the account instantly too! You'll have no problems with or without a paying in slip.
Gone from Poor to Excellent Credit. Proud of my recovery. Never going back to the sub prime!

As everybody says, you don't need a pre-printed paying in slip, but using one will at least safeguard against your friend forgetting your account no., or accidentally giving the cashier the wrong one.0
