September is the month for planting bulbs to brighten up Spring and this looks like a good offer. PlantOffers are part of Thompson and Morgan. I have purchased from this site on numerous occasions.

When you go to basket it will naughtily add £2.95 for P&P, so this is what you do:
1) Add code DM197 in the code box at the top left of the page. This will take you to a new page entitled 'Gardening Essentials Kit & Hyacinth Midnight Mystique'.
2) Go back to basket and the £2.95 will magically disappear!

Enjoy!

  • Not too sure how it can be Free (just pay postage) on some of the items as the site claims.

From what I can see the free items still charge.
  • Yes, regrettably the site is making rather spurious claims about free items. If you ignore the misleading references, then this is quite a good deal at £4.90 delivered.
  • given it a go. for a fiver its worth a shot. if they come will plant them on the grass verge over the road.
find a deal....pass it on

Mine said 180 bulbs and weirdly didn't ask for the number on the back of the credit card, just "issue number" which I think is something related to electron? Seemed to accept the order without it. Also did anyone notice if the page was secure - no little padlock that I could see.
  • It does have a secure checkout from what I recall.

I think you have gone for the FREE* Spring bulbs rather than the FREE* 200 Spring Flowering Bulbs. Go back to complete index (on left hand side of Plantoffers web page) or check link below:

Has anyone who bought these checked you bank account to see if it's -£4.90 or -£49

Iv just checked my bank and the difference between the balance and available balance is exactly £49, these bulbs is the only thing iv bought using my card in the last 4 days, as it's not showing up as taken from the account yet i can't prove it's plants offers but it does look to me like they have taken £49 instead of £4.90

    Might be worth checking guys.

Just to reasurre you I have just made an order, which said something like, 'proceed to secure checkout'. Also the address started https.

Thanks so much OP, I had a count up of the bulbs I have bought from the likes of Poundland and 999p store - 326 bubls in total, between 16 packs - so £16. This is a great offer - lets hope they come up now lol
    Happy Gardening :D

I clicked on the link and ordered my plants as advised (ie no postage) before reading your post, but retraced my steps and it definitely says £4.90, and as they claim the bulbs are actually worth just under £25, there is no way they should be charging you £49, but will keep an eye on my bank statement.
Thanks to the OP for the heads up. :)
if i had known then what i know now
  • thanks ops, just bought some
now just need to find some cheap lily bulbs - the site's are quite dear - and im set for next spring
