Have just bought an iPod video only to discover you never extra software to convert DVDs into the required format to download ono the iPod.
Anyone know if any of this software is available free or if not what is the best value?
Cheers

Typing convert dvd to ipod into Google comes up with loads of results like this one:

It's not clearly stated on the HandBrake site, but there's a guide for Windows users too.Moneymaker wrote:0 -
There is a lot of software out there, if your looking for free software, Videora iPod Converter, here: http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/iPod/ will do the job, but otherwise if your willing to fork out some cash, then I'd recommend you use imtoo DVD to iPod Suite here: http://www.imtoo.com/dvd-to-ipod-suite.htmld18set wrote:Have just bought an iPod video only to discover you never extra software to convert DVDs into the required format to download ono the iPod.

I use the following:

It's really easy to use, free, and does exactly what it says on the tin!
Hope that helps0 -

Just having a go on this but am slightly confused. How do you know which files to select (there are about 10-12 on each DVD)? Do I need to convert them all separately?

If it is a movie that you are ripping, it will be the one with the longest time length most likely. You should be able to tell by looking at the time length.d18set wrote:Thanks
