Please could anyone explain the work-related activity group. I have spoken to 3 diffrent people from the benifit centre today, and they have all given me different reply's. My husband was reciving invalidity benefit, after filling a form in he recived this letter this morning. It said he has to attend work focused interviews. I rang and explaind he has just had a heart monitor implanted in his chest, due to blackouts. or ? TIA'S If he has an attack who ever is with him must activate it. The local council, on the advice of the OT, have just finished building a downstairs bedroom and wet room. He has had to have grab rails, and hand rails put outside due to limited mobilty. as a result of an accident 10yrs ago. I am constantly juggiling work with hopital appointments now. As he suffers with depression and anxeity and limted mobility. If I got to start attending the job centre with him, I dont know how long my job will be last.:(

When was he transferred into the work related activity group from incapacity benefit? If it's been under a month then he can appeal to see if they'll put him into the Support Group.

If you cannot appeal/don't want to your husband can call the Jobcentre and ask if they'll do the appointment over the telephone because he will be unable to get to the Jobcentre because he needs someone with him and you cannot take the time off work.
When I did this I had a chat with the advisor over the telephone and they deferred future appointments for 6 months.0 -
An ILR can be programmed to self record, they had to do it to mine about 6 years ago. Doesnt help with your query but it does make life easier as when I collapsed no one ever remembered to push the button.0
