Pvr and blu-ray wanted -expert shoppers need

hi,
am after a blu-ray and pvr but really want to spend >£ 300.

The pvr I'm after is Humax HDR-FOXT2, unless someone knows of a cheaper model with the same features. I'm not overly worried about the blu-ray abilities as long as it's a reliable model

Have no problems with graded items but would like a 12 month warranty (preferably from a company that won't try to wriggle out of their obligations if there's a problem)

Have you looked at a combined unit?

This has a 250GB hard drive

Any idea if the tuner is HD, am doing this on my phone as am having problems connecting new laptop to wifi-but thats a problem for another day

See what you mean, though if you can find a reliable combined unit it will probably be cheaper than two separates and take up less room, but maybe like hi fi systems, if one bit goes wrong, it is usually cheaper to replace the entire thing

Also, a 250Gb hard drive is inadequate for an HD PVR, as HD Freeview uses approx 4Gb per hour of recorded programmes.

I have a Samsung BDC8200. It has BR, freeview+ HD tuner and a 250gig Hard drive, plus internet access over wifi (can be wired) so you have the lovefilm app, Iplayer, Facebook etc... plus it has usb in case you have anything like films you want to watch off external sources. Ive had no problems with it, the only thing is recording, if youre used to having twin tuners like with Sky, you can only record what youre watching. We have built in Freeview in out TV so this solves that problem

I think i got mine at the beginning of the year for about £260

You can currently get one for around £205 though this is no good to me as I'm on the look out for something similar for recording when I'm out and about.
