CSA Im thinking of changing to paying this

OP - you cannot decide on where the maintenance is spent, the rights and wrongs of that have been hotly debated on this and other boards! Your ex CAN go to the CSA and open a new case but they can only backdate it to the time that they contact you, so if you have no current case then no arrears are payable.
I would imagine that she has looked at the CSA calculator and realised that she is owed more money so perhaps rather than telling her that you want to see where the money goes, I suggest that you keep the receipts for a few weeks and show her that you are spending the remaining £70 a month directly on your child for items which he needs. That at least opens the door on the conversation
