Starmsg Ltd: Action Needed

Action Is Needed!

Hi peeps,

Despite the fact that this company appears to be acting within the law, they are not.

They are misleading and unfair in their conduct.

Since they have offices in the UK, Regent Street, they are within the jurisdiction of English Law, despite their claim that any disputes would be settled under German Law. What on earth are they on?

"Starmsg.com is a freeware messaging service that allows you to send text SMS messages from your PC to mobile phones all over the world. This is the most convenient way to send and receive text SMS messages from your PC. You can set the delivery time for your SMS text messages, send Flash SMS messages or anonymous SMS messages. This is the 'coolest' way on the web to get in contact with your friends and family and receive their SMS messages while you are at your desktop. A web application integrates with the software and allows you to send text SMS messages from the starmsg.com website without the installation of the software"

Anyway, I contacted Trading Standards in London today, and they accepted to take details about this company. However, action will only be taken if they have more members of the public experiencing the same conduct from Starmsg Ltd.

They are operating in an unfair manner, and the fact that they make threats to involve debt collectors and the Courts is wholly unreasonable.

I am well prepared for any legal action that Starmsg Ltd want to take, knowing that I have a quasi-backing from Trading Standards.

But one person is not enough for them to take action.

So, to those who have had this happen to them, irrespective of how long ago, note that the limitation period for Contract Law is 6 years, GET IN TOUCH WITH TRADING STANDARDS.

Trading Standards in London: 0208 799 9201 or 0845 4040506

Afterall, a simple web form with no kind of up front payment does not constitute a legal contract, anyone could sign up with anyone's details. For a peace of mind, lodge a formal complaint.
