Thanks Mikeyorks
Your thanks button has gone walkabout!“All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt.” Charles M Schulz0 -
I have just bought a new home insurance policy with Direct Line rather than renew existing policy.
Currently paying £450, renewal was £540, online was £375, with £75 back from Quidco (fingers crossed).
When I rang Direct Line not to renew my existing policy, the lady said that they would have honoured the online price, and have done so for about a year now.
So if this applies to you, get an online quote, then ring through to renew at the cheapest price.“All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn't hurt.” Charles M Schulz0 -
My experience was the opposite. After a year with Direct Line, my renewal quote was almost the same as their online quotation for a new customer in my situation. However, buying online as a new customer got me some nice cashback (in fact from TopCashBack rather than Quidco).0

No no no, what you meant to say was, go through Quidco, get an online quote, if its cheaper then buy it online :beer:0
