Hello all.
I purchased a 32" samsung tv from John Lewis back in August 2009 and was attracted by the 5 year warranty they offer.
The model was a samsung le32b450 and to be honest I have never been blown away by the quality of the thing despite it costing £349 at the time.
Anyway over recent months it has developed what can only be described as a green cloud over the top right hand 1/4 of the screen. This is quite noticable and intrusive when watching dark films at night time.
I tried wiping the screen thinking it was dust, however if I wipe over it whilst the tv is on, and there is writing in that corner, the writing becomes imprinted and gets "stuck" on the screen.
Any ideas what it could be and is it worth claiming on the warranty?

Most likely a fault on the panel just refer it to john lewis under warranty.0

Agreed, the panel/screen is going and needs to be replaced.0 -
You were attracted by the 5 year warranty and now you have an opportunity to use it. Congratulate yourself on your foresight!0
