Hi all,
I'm seriously considering fianlly getting winter tyres this year (and of course we'll have a fabioulsy warm one
).
But I have a real problem with storing the summer tyres. The house doesn't reeally have storage space (and nog garage). Is there an ok way to store them in the garage?
I also read about tyre hotels, does anybody know where to find them and if they are any good?

Kwik Fit provide this service I believe, but I don't know the details.0

Mmmmm. All those lovely expensive alloys complete with tyres and gathered together in one place. I hope they have a good lock on the door.0

Do you have any outside space? The wheels and tyres will be fine outside, use a taupaulin and cover them up to keep them clean and dry, and if you can secure them somehow even better. Or you can buy outdoor metal storage boxes that you can bolt to the floor and lock, that would be ideal and probably cheaper than paying Kwik Fit or the likes I would imgaine and looks a bit tidier.0

I have done that and as I said I read about them but couldn't find any details.

I googled it too and 2nd result is for ATS offering this service - 'ATS-E said its range of cold weather tyres will be available online from Monday 12 September. Storing four summer tyres in an ATS Euromaster tyre hotel costs £30 (£7.50 per tyre).'
presume this in if you buy your winter tyres from them, but doesn't seem too bad?
Kwik-fit & etyres.co.uk also seem to offer the service and are listed on the first page of the google search....0 -

last year kwik fit charged me £10 per tyre to swap and store the others.
This year charges doubled £10.50 per tyre to fit and £12.50 per tyre to store n:eek:0
