Hi everyone,
Ive just been plunged into my overdraft - had an expensive couple of months but wasnt too worried as my rate has always been 50p /day capped at 10 days(£5) now thats raised to 20 days so im paying £10 in bank charges.
Does anyone know any better accounts? The main guides as very limited as they only push the santander (that i already have) and First direct (but i dont earn £23K.)
Any tips?
Im begining to wonder if itd be cheaper leaving it on the credit card but i really dont like the idea of lining barclays pockets after they screwed the cash back rate to next to nothing.
Thanks for all your help
Dave

Try the moneysupermarket comparison searches. Difficult for people to recommend without knowing your circumstances, what you are looking for and how you manage your account

I noticed this recently (I had an A&L account) - if you "upgrade" to a santander preferred account then the o/d charge goes back to a £5 per month maximum.
Bear in mind that by changing accounts you lose the European Travel policy coverage of the A&L account but this wasn't much use to me.0 -
As above if you credit more than £1k pcm you can upgrade to the preferred and retain your existing card etc but benefit from the lower monthly cap.
bear in mind though if you have a "premier" account you will lose the european travel cover0 -
thanks peeps!
Ill have a think about it, cant see me going very far at the moment so ill look into switching:)
Thanks very much:)
