Orange want me to switch from BT

I pay 12.26 for unlimited broadband from Orange. They are pushing me to take a package at 10.00 ( + line rental 12.70 paid to them) that includes broadband and free off peak and weekend phone calls.

Cant help feeling suspicious that theuy want me to pay less for more!

Does anyone know the catch??

ISTR someone posting that their call charges for non-inclusive calls are as bad as Virgin Media's.
Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.

Orange are ditching their LLU presence so migrating customers back to BT's WBC or IP Stream,so maybe they're trying to get you to switch to a far inferior package to try & tie you into a new 12 month contract where as if they switched you & your 'new' BBand service was unreliable, you'd leave.
  • Sorry nothing to do with your question, is Orange good for broadband?

No, they're one of the worst rated ISP's around.
No free lunch, and no free laptop ;)
  • I find them fine - good connection and decent price £22 pcm for unlimited broadband, free landline calls and line rental

The calls are not free, they're inclusive.

They are as good as you would expect for the money.
These are my thoughts and no one else's, so like any public forum advice - check it out before entering into contracts or spending your hard earned cash!

I don't know everything, however I do try to point people in the right direction but at the end of the day you can only ever help yourself!

I've been using them for 3 years now for my BB and haven't had any problems so far.
