Watching it now, and liking it already! Something I had major problems with well before MSE, inc asking for it to be removed from loans and them refusing etc. Many of the policies I was or my partner was missold as we were not told because of the huge exclusions, we wouldn't qualify.

I know so many poor people who ended up in difficulty, thought they were safe as were paying a fortune in PPI on everything and then denied a pay out because of some reason or another.

I've only really started using the site and didnt realise until recently I could cancel it. this program has just prompted me to look at how much its costing me. Its horrendous! Im off again next week though so top of my hit list is...

I wonder if anyone who is on tonights show who he speaks to registers on the site. Hope so. My friend went for a loan a few weeks back and when they said about PPI I'd spoke to her and she said 'I'll find my own' as I had told her about it, she said the girl asked loads of questions about it and the manager tried to refuse the loan which she'd already had agreed because of that!! Shocking IMO!

After you've cancelled it check on it, know someone who over 2 years after cancelling a PPI has found out it's never been removed from the account and has had to battle to get it refunded. Looking at your loans if they all have PPI you could save yourself a lot of money. Also take Martin's tips on board he's just gone through, if it's right for you in your situation look into cancelling it.
One day I might be more organised...........

arrgg I missed it :( forgot all about it
  • THEY recommended that i take it,i also didnt realise that it would come in a 'loan form' and that if i wanted to pay back the loan early, which i do,this PPI would be added to the total outstanding!

what can i do?,its stopping me from sorting my mortgage out.

Mickey66, write to them & complain and ask that they refund the full premium plus any interest paid so far.

I did this with mine & just got a letter saying I will get it all back. Took three letters & threats to complain to office of fair trading, financial ombudsman etc, but I got there in the end.

Great program by the way Martin!!!!
Proud to be dealing with my debts :j

Only one complaint, Martin, my TV has a volume control, if I want my ears to bleed I'll put it on max, no need to shout :)
