I have a vent against Argos. This is what happened. I ordered a set of weights for my brother for Christmas on my mum's behalf as she would be unable to carry 15kg weights home from the shops. The weights were to be delivered on a wednesday. Wednesday came and went and the delivery didn't arrive. I tried to ring Argos but couldn't get through. The next day I phoned again and got an automated voice message saying that some orders were being delayed for 48 hours. On Friday I finally managed to speak to a person who told me that there was a problem with my order at the warehouse and could I call back after 6pm. I sent an email to complain and we called back after 6pm to be told the item wasn't in stock. We then cancelled the order and ordered it from John Lewis. It arrived promptly.
This wednesday, I realised that Argos had never replied to my email, apart from an automated response so I emailed again. I received a reply which stated that Argos are unaware of a problem with an order unless a customer alerts them to it. Having wasted a day waiting in for the item, I was unimpressed and frustrated at their lack of customer service. I won't be using Argos home delivery again.
