Lloydstsb ppi claim - Card number not found!

Hi,
I am new to these boards and am just hoping for some advice.
I had a Lloydstsb c/c and i paid it off 2007, i cancelled the ppi some time prior to this but cannot recall the date.
I called Lloydstsb to find out what i need to do to get my card number as i no longer have any information relating to the account, i searched bank statements but it just shows Asset Visa BP (bill pay), they put me through to someone in c/c who said they couldn't find my c/c number
I also had a loan with them which i paid in 2005 is it too late to claim on this, i actually have a loan number (found from my bank statement).
Any help will be appreciated, just not sure what my next step shoud be?
Thanks

I imagine you'll have some more advice on this but from what I know you need any documentation for anything over 6 years as they aren't liable to keep it. As for the cc issue - surely it is linked to you via another manner? Hope you get some help on here. It might be worth checking out the PPI page on lloyds and giving the number a call and explaining your situation and how it affects your claim. They've been very helpful to me (which I wasn't expecting).
I had similar blanks in my history yet they were able to find quite a bit (but I do still bank with them which may make it different).
good luck!0 -
Did you pay the card through internet banking?if you did, check on there,it should have the card number.
With reference to the loan, all you need is the account number and reasons for mis sell.
Look here and you will find all the help you need on this link.

The card was paid mainly via internet banking but it just shows Asset Visa BP and the amount, no a/c number under the name:(
I've just checked my credit report (experian) and the loan doesn't even show up, i thought things stayed on your file for 6 years even if they were settled?
In fairness the man i spoke to at Lloyds seemed very helpful, that was until i couldn't provide the card number, that's when he passed me through to c/c for them to help me obtain the number, but surely if i've been passed to someone in that department (they asked for my sort code and a/c number) they should have been able to give me that information.
Am i best writing to Lloyds for this information, the man on the phone did suggest i try the branch?
I wouldn't have bothered with all of this but i am fed up of companies trying to make money out of me by making a claim on my behalf, have been inundated with offers, so i thought i may as well give it a go myself!Vanquis 2800/3000:mad: Barclaycard 3100/3300

Nic,
Please don't try with any of those companies. I've heard numerous horror stories. The fact is that LLoyds have made it easy to apply, so you are paying someone to fill in a form that you can do in a few minutes. The main problem you are having (as did I) is harvesting the information.
Try ringing the claim line and seeing what they can do (I initiated my claim this way). They were good at getting the details too. Apologies if you have already tried this route.0 -
A SAR should hold data for at least the last 6 years, so if you bank with lloyds as well, you enclose your bank account number on the SAR template letter, they should send you all data on all accounts taken out with them.
They have 40 calendar days to comply.
And you enclose a one off payment of £10 by cheque or postal order.
SAR template letter below if you want to do this.

Thanks so much everyone so far for your help and advice.
I am currently in a queue for c/c services at Lloydstsb, i spoke to phone banking who gave me the dates of the completed loans.
2.12.2004 settled
8.12.2005 settled
She also couldn't find anything to do with a c/c?????????/ She advised i spoke to them again, as c/c are different to loans, ie you don't need to bank with them to have a c/c.
I think i may have to go down the SAR route.
Is there a time limit for the loans, does anyone know?Vanquis 2800/3000:mad: Barclaycard 3100/3300

Just got off phone to Lloydstsb, they are going to send me a copy statement of my a/c from middle of 2007, they have to apply for it from archive apparently and it will cost £6
.....i've agreed to it as i want the information so i can put the claim in asap, might be quicker than the SAR route? Vanquis 2800/3000:mad: Barclaycard 3100/3300

Hiya
A SAR will cover everything, so all loans, credit cards, details of your bank account, overdraft and so on.
And as stated above they have up to 40 calendar days.
The FSA have currently given banks 12 weeks (temporary) to deal with complaints, the norm is that of 8 weeks, you may still hear before the 12 week deadline, fingers crossed. The one and only "Dizzy Di"

In June last year I had my first PPI success due to thsi site but since then it has been a battle with the other three (Co-OP, MINT and particularly MBNA). The Co-Op paid up a few weeks back but the other two were with the FOS. I had a letter in mid July from the FOS stating MINT would pay up - but still nothing from MINT confirming exactly how much.
The FOS upheld my complaint against MBNA but the rejected it. In July it went to an ombudsman and today the FOS said MBNA would pay up!!
HURRAY!!! 4 out of 4, just need the dosh now but it may take until Christmas but HOORAY and thanks to all on this site.
Never give up. At times I almost gave up but I knew I was right as when I was made redundant last year they wouldn't pay out as I was ineligable for the policies.
Great news. I will never, ever get another credit card.
For the first time in a decade I won't be weighed down with this rubbish but am free.
I can never than you guys enough.0
