It's a mouse mat. Why pay £15 if you were happy with the free ones ? I'd forget about it and get on with things. Lifes too short, i know this forum is for everyone and everything, but when you read some of the heartbreaking posts about people with huge financial/personal problems, it sort of puts your mouse mat problems into perspective.0

And if that's all that's wrong with it i'm missing something, my Steelseries one does that (although right hand corner) which i'd put down to the fact it's where my arm rests when i'm gaming! To answer the question of "why pay that much for a mouse mat" simple, my mouse is a lot bigger than your average PC user's mouse and anything smaller than my current mat wouldn't suffice, further to this "professional" mouse mats are covered in material designed to improve accuracy & reduce the "drag" of the mouse, something which improves gaming performance. As the majority of gamers have our mice set up to be as accurate as possible (weighting, speed etc) the mouse mat becomes as important as the actual mouse to gaming, something which after switching from a "normal" mouse mat to a technical one is like switching from a push bike to a superbike - i know i wouldn't be willing to go back to a standard mouse mat any time soon!
As to your emails, i'd suggest perhaps a little blunt, to someone like me that's not a problem, but bearing in mind i'm used to the social interaction with someone trying to get a plain point across in English, it's my native language, the person you were dealing with is using a secondary language, so could have taken "blunt" as "aggressive". Play should have extended you the details of their distributer to sort the issue out, but lets face it, play's customer server is dire at best - still should have resolved the issue.Retired member - fed up with the general tone of the place.0 -

That's hilarious someone saw you lot coming. Its like selling firewater to the natives. Its one of those cases if you tell people enough that this expensive item is going to be better people will believe you.'The More I know about people the Better I like my Dog'

Have you tried them to see the difference, or are you just making things up?
I'd take the word of someone whose actually tried something over someone who hasn't any day.0 -
I'm just shocked thst anyone would pay £15 for a mousemat in the first place.
I thought that too.
The op was far too long winded, couldnt be arsed reading it
Worst mouse mat i ever had i got given by work - a global (UNIversal, almost) foods and personal care goods company had all their logos and facets of their main logo printed on little plastic sheets that were encased inside a plastic, fluid filled wallet. The logos would float around, perhaps representing their 'fluid' approach to marketing or some other fancy thinking.
Horrible to use, because the mat wasnt firm, wherever you moved with your mouse the fluid would divert around the mat, basically making a crater where you were pointing. God forbid you use a ball mouse... no movement. Worst mousepad I ever used.
Thats my mousemat anecdote.0
