Is there such a thing as an add on for email notifier..without installing yet another toolbar ?

I used an application called PopTray
on Windows a long time ago. It was a nice small utility that sits in the system tray and lets you know when you have new mail from multiple accounts.
If this isn't what you mean, sorry.
If you clarify the browser or OS you are using and what email accounts you want to be notified about. I'm sure you'll get a better response.0 -
In XFCE I just added the Mail Watcher icon to the task bar, and in Windows 7 I've downloaded a "gadget" called WpCorpMailCheck3.1.3. Both have the ability to check multiple email accounts.0
