Egg PPI Help Please!!!!

I have been trying to reclaim the ppi on an egg card that I took out online in 2001 as it was mis-sold. Many other people that I have spoken too have had their complaint upheld due to the checkbox for PPI being pre-ticked on the application. However they have sent me a screenshot allegedly of my application showing two radio buttons (one for yes to ppi and the second saying no to ppi) neither of these buttons are selected and there is no checkbox in sight??

They has also sent a letter in which they state after a full review of the online sales process:-

- it does not require me to take the ppi as a condition of getting the card
- does not provide an advisory service
- require me to positively confirm that I wished to purchase ppi
- provided full term and consitions

My argument is that I was in full time emplyment and was already covered with sick pay etc and would not have required ppi.

Also - how come everybody else appear to have a pre-selected checkbox on their application but I have a screenshot with unselected radio buttons??

I am unsure as to what my next action should be as their appeears to be inconsistencies with the replies egg are sending to people?

Has anybody else had a similar letter and more importantly have they had the screenshot with the radio buttons rather than the checkbox??

Would love to hear your thoughts as I think they are still trying to pull the wool over my eyes!!!

    Hi there

Write back, they may reconsider, ask them to review and tell them you don't believe your complaint have been taken seriously, or its been overlooked.

Tell them your concerns and question them on the checkbox, tell them there is not one there, but you were paying for it anyway.
Then say as already being protected then you would not want to pay out more expense, then say as it was added to your policy it must have been added without your knowledge then.

Ask them to get back by 7 to 14 days and then tell them you will otherwise consider taking these matters further.

    Hope this helps, good luck.;)
