hi i was self employed from june to oct 06 found being in the retail buisness wasnt for me ,when do i need to do a tax return any help please

Phone your local tax office and ask them (they should be under HMRC in the phone book or there will be a number on the HMRC website). You need to contact them to get the forms anyway!
I'm guessing here, but as all your trading was within the current tax year, then I wouldn't think you'd need to do it until after 6 April 2007.Signature removed for peace of mind0
