For life assurance they often come out relatively well priced. A bit prone to underquote at quote stage and then increase after underwriting. Usually down to occupation more and minor health issues.
They are no longer owned by Abbey but the Vulture, sorry venture capital company Resolution Life. Resolution have picked up many of the failed insurance companies over the last few years so the Scot Prov brand may not last much longer.
That said, its only term assurance which and not part of the failed investment/pension business.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). synergy is a very different plan and premiums will rise over the term. i worked for scot Prov when they were under Abbey and they were one of the best.. cant speak for now.. but they were very good then.0
