Hi i am looking to get a new front door fitted , any reccomendations and a guide to what sort of cost would be appreciated thanks in advance.
South Wales / Abergavenny area.

Sorry, couldn't give you an idea of cost but I can recommend someone from the Pontypridd area. Don't know if he works up as far as Abergavenny but it might be worth the cost of a call.

Thanks i will give them a try. I have asked 4 people to come and quote so far and NONE of them turned up ! must be too much work around.
One phoned to say £700 starting price shall i bother ? Nope !

hi after about 10 minutes of searching for the name and address ive found it:

there is this place in cardiff, ely area, its a warehouse who supply and fit upvc

as far as i remember the final price was about £550 fitted, with also a light over the door, which had a number in it as well
i dont remember the company name and i dont think it was called precision, as it was my builder who did the legwork, but try them anyhow

I had Anglia windows around today for a quote.
For the cheapest door with plain glass ...started off at £2150 but after all the discounts £1050. :rotfl: :rotfl:

Only just read your email and you might have found a company now but I also asked the same question a few months ago. The company I finally decided on were Abseal in Cwmbran. They charged about £2,000 for brown windows and doors. White would have been cheaper. They are FENSA registered which is essential for when you come to sell the property and they give a good guarantee. Give them a ring, you won't regret it. I had quotes from companies who weren't FENSA registered that were dearer than this one.
