after some advice....

After a bit of advice really.
Bought two items from an online trader and only received one of the items.
Have been emailing, texting, phoning, opening support tickets, and leaving messages.
I even sent a private message to one of their staff and the responsi I got was:-
WHAT I SENT
"A reply to the ticket would be appreciated.
I'm sure that you can understand my concern when 16.99 has been paid to you for an item I haven't received."
REPLY I RECEIVED
"not that bothered cos its only £17 but £300 then i could understand.
but then thats me

I was then told that the item might get sent out yesterday, it hasn't arrived.
It's been a week now, what should I do?
They don't seem to care about their customers.
Was thinking of Trading Standars??

I payed with a debit Card, which used the NOCHEX system...

Please make sure you trust the person you are sending money to, as successfull Nochex transactions cannot be cancelled by yourself.
As stated in our terms and conditions:
"Where you dispute a transaction between you and another party, NOCHEX will not enter into any payment disputed by you and any other person other than to confirm that the payment was made in accordance with the instructions you gave to us. We cannot arrange for money to be given back to you where you believe the payment was made incorrectly by you".
"We are not responsible for any goods or services paid for by you using the NOCHEX service".
You must understand that we cannot get involved with disputes between buyers and sellers.
The exception to this is in connection with investigations by the legal authorities. In these instances, they can file a Data Protection Disclosure form with us. In these circumstances we are legally obliged to supply them with any information they demand.
If you ever believe someone has acted criminally (deception, fraud or other) then we recommend you report it to the police and ask for their advice. If they want to speak to us then let us know and we will do all we can to co-operate.0 -
You can get your money back from NOCHEX but it is very hard to do. You have to keep bugging them and don't stop, you will eventually win but it will do your head in as much as theirs. I've been reading these forums since 5 Aug 2005, only just decided to start posting but i now consider £16.99 allot to lose to a not very nice person as he/she, and why should you lose it. It you don't get the tickets keep on at NOCHEX you will get your full refund but it will take numerous emails. Good luck.0
