I have just had delivered a nice new Samsung LCD TV. The issue is that the picture quality is great on all inputs but when I use either of the two scart inputs i get a 'lighter' bar travelling down the screen at a steady rate and it reappear at the top and starts over again. I dont see any of this when viewing either the inbuilt freeview channels or the analoge channels.
Is this interference from cheap scart cables (he said hopefully) or something more serious?
Thanks in anticipation.

Sounds like a scart issue to me. Thats what I would try. Make sure there isn't any faulty pins and you have a good connection.
Nothing sux more than getting a nice new toy delivered to play with and then the damn thing don't work properly
Gutted for ya Mate

Just a quick update in case it helps anyone else. I found the cause of all my problems my analog aerial in the DVD recorder was causing both the light bar and a drone noise comming through on both scart inputs. It was a case of trial and error checking all possible causes. (Just like diagnosing a computer problem). I also received today some decent quality Scarts and that has improved the picture as well (and they didnt cost a fortune) so all round now well pleased.Ta0
