BG Boiler Scrappage discount - any good ?
I have just become aware of the British gas Scrappage discount when you buy a Worcester boiler. Apparently they discount you £400 or £200 if you choose another boiler.
Has anyone does this and what does the remaining bill come to for a combination boiler ? I was thinking £400 should go along way to buying a boiler am I correct ?

The boiler scrappage discount that you quoted is nothing more than hot air.
It is a variation of the old scam of where the salesman/company first double the price, and then give you a 20% "discount".
There was a genuine government funded scheme, but that has long ended.

BG jumped on the bandwagon and are trying to fool you into thinking you got a bargain. In reality, you would still be paying well over the top, even including your "grant".0 -
Ok thanks all for your comments I wondered if BG would be chargeing alot in order to compenstate. I have seen an ad with jonny Ball on the TV has anyone used the one at £17 ?"The time is always right to do what is right"0

IMHO always the way to go about it is to get several quotes for something suitable and then look at the final bottom line.
Hang any fluff and flannel, it's the price to change that counts.0
