Do you remember those ..

Big comfy sofa's? The ones you could change the covers too? I used to have one and boy do I miss it. Have had leather ones since and I hate them.

I have been looking for them for ages now and can't find them anywhere.

Do you know where I could find one?

  • The Ektorp that Ikea sell are big and comfy and you can change the covers. You can buy extra covers so one in the wash and one on the sofa and chairs. I have one and love it. Dunno if it is the the type you mean though.

    Thank You

Just had a look, very similar, will have to go in to store and have a sit down on one to be 100%. Do you know if they stock these in store?

Will be honest, I never suffered back pain like this until I got rid of them, god knows why I did. :(

I have Ektorp sofas too and love them, all squishy and soft. They always have loads of them on the shop floor and pretty much always have them in stock and in fact the two-seater is now flat-packed and you could probably get it home in an estate/large hatchback.

Good luck in your search. I really struggled to find a fabric loose cover sofa that I could sit on in a shop before buying. All the big furniture stores had mostly leather or else really fashionable fabric suites that would date quickly and had fixed covers. I was so relieved when I found the ikea ones.

I got a 4 seater one from Ikea, can't remember the name of it now. Huge soft cushions and you can change the covers, I have set of white and a set of grey. Best thing you can do is just go there and try them all out.
  • Ours is from Odeon, part of sofa sofa and is 15 years old. I think they still do them. It's been great.
