Help! Working Tax Credits Slipped of System!!

I am so so angry and upset. I receive working tax credits (child tax credits as well) I work full time on NMW.
My working tax credits were not in the bank again..... (this is the 7th time in 2.5 years they have done this by the way) I called them and spent a fortune today in costs. To be told your working tax credits have stopped they have slipped off the system oh I could cry in fact I honesty am crying. I ask what they can do and also can I speak to a manager to be told we will escalate this and cant tell you how long, I tell them this has happened now the 7th time and I am now making this yet another complaint. Again they cant tell me how long it will take.
I ask for an appt in my local office to be told no, I explain that each time it happens I do this, appear in local office and get issued hardship they again tell me no. I ring back another 4 times today to be told no I will just have to wait, and will not be entitled to another payment.
I am terrified and dont know what to do and cant afford to keep calling them, I am really worried about my bills etc. I cant get an overdraft and I live really modestly can someone out there help?
p.s this always happens as I do what you are supposed to do for example renewals, change of address and I just started a new job and called them last week with new details (I was assured this would not happen again) it has

Hey hun
When my daughter was born she had a chronic heart condition so i gave up work to be her carer until she had her operation...
I was getting DLA and carers allowance plus tax credits.
When she had her op they stopped my tax credits...i rang and rang and rang oh your not entitled??? i askhow am i not entitled?
I just walked into my local tax office and was given a giro, i eventually got given a tax credits officer who personally looked into my case and 6 yrs later fingers crossed it has all been fine.
tell them you want a tax credit compliance officer...failing that get in touch with your local MP, mine was fab xxx0 -
After spending hours, and I am being serious on the phone, I was "allowed to make a complaint" A person from my local office called and said that I could have an appt which will be on thursday, but I would not be allowed a hardship payment

Got an award notice an amended one in the post today which says my entitlement to wftc is 0.00, and yet it shows my earnings and hours worked and without going into it they are NMW, I am so angry but also really upset, I am always struggling financially and yet tax credits repeatedly do this to me, and have yet to apologise.
I will be making an appointment with my local mp. From research on google into this issue (it seems more common for joint claims though) the mps have a hotline?
annie46abbie thank you so much for replying it is really helpful0 -
I had the same problem from April 2004 until April 2009

Computer error for me too! Have 2 children (13 & 9 in April 2004) April 2004 my payments suddenly stopped (no letter, just noticed no payment in bank) I rang & questioned this only to be told: "Oh, your children have 'slipped off the system'. We'll send an e-mail to R&D & it should be sorted in a couple of weeks"
Here we are in June 2007 & guess what!! NO IT'S NOT SORTED!!!!

Hi, I had a nightmare regarding an overpayment dispute because IR's computer system kept leaving my children off my awards - therefore they claimed I was not entitled to Tax Credits as I had no children. It all started in April 2004 and was not put right until last year! (April 2009)
This website is very informative and was a tremendous help to me, I think I would have just given up, lost my house as well as my sanity without them.
Not sure how to post links, but google Tax Credit Casualties and you should find it.

To Dundeedoll and annie46abbie I seen my mp today they were great. They put in a complaint a this has happened numerous times and told me that a new award notice will now be issued, so hopefully will receive a payment soon. I am still worried though in case this does not happen, I wonder if anyone else on the forums have contacted an mp in a situation like this and wonder how they did, and I also wonder how long you wait for a payment once a new award notice is issued.0

To annie46 I requested yet again a hardship payment but my office told me they no longer give out giro's and put me through to a national payments team - and they said no. I wonder what they expect you to live on.0
