Hello
I want to sell a campervan grille on ebay, (actually two) and I am wondering which courier options are the best, as far as handling large parcels.
One box will be 170 x 28 x 11 (cm) weighing less than 10 kg
The other box will be 130 x 30 x 15 (cm)
I am actually a newbie to ebay and have only used the PO so far, but these werer just for small items,
thanks for any advice.

Don't think there's any reason why you couldn't use Royal Mail standard parcels. Between 8 & 10kgs £13.61 basic price and covered up to £46 (you can pay extra for additional compensation, up to £100, £250 or £500). Measurement restrictions are - up to 1.5metres long. Up to 3m combined length and girth.
You might find that you have to take it to a 'proper' post office though - not sure about that, just a suggestion before you lug it to your local shop.
Don't forget to include the weight of your packaging when calculating the costs.
If you don't already have one pick up a copy of Pricing made easy from the post office, I find it invaluable when selling.
Also, make sure you block overseas bidders - I know its sounds obvious but there are some strange people out there

Parcelmonkey - £8.95+VAT via Nightfreight for the larger box.
Parcelmonkey - £5.85+VAT via Citylink for the smaller box.0 -

Parcelmonkey via Nightfreight = £14.49+VAT.0 -
I would never use nightfreight through parcelmonkey, I've had a couple of people who haven't been in and I've been responsible for the £12 surcharge, but citylink through then are OK, for you I'd choose GWizz (http://www.gwizzcouriers.co.uk/), £9.49 + VAT UPSjillyjacks wrote: »sorry to hijack the thread but I have a large heavy parcel (32kg) dimensions approx 36 x 36 x 36cm which is the cheapest way to send it please?0 -
Fair enough. I've only used DHL and Citylink through Parcelmonkey.0

Apart from the price. Any Post Office can send parcels.0 -
It would be cheaper to use parcelforce express 48 if you pay via paypal for an ebay sale up to 30 kgs for 11.99.(inc vat) Also you can book for them to pick it up from yougraspthenettle wrote: »Don't think there's any reason why you couldn't use Royal Mail standard parcels.
