What shall I do with my money?

Hello MoneySavers,
It's ages since I posted but I could do with a little investment advice.
I recently sold my property in England and have a nice chunk of money.
I am currently taking a "year out" if you like and am living nice and cheaply in Spain.
Now, at the moment I these are my plans. I want to pay off my overdraft of £1600 and pay my outstanding credit card bills off (2 cards totalling about £400) then I am debt free!
However, what shall I do the rest of my money? I have been here 4 months and only spent £150/month in living costs which I am rather chuffed with.
I have the bulk of it in e-savings at the moment with Nationwide but is there a better way for me to invest it? I am rather confused about this.
On an added note, I am 29 with no property and no pension, so I really want to start saving best for my future.
Are these good plans for my money and can anyone advise me on investments?
Many thanks

buy another property and rent lease it to the council for 3/5 year or buy a peice of land out right uk or spain and leave it for 5/10 years. don't leave it in the bank inflation will eat it away.0

I can't afford to buy outright in Britain or Spain, but thanks for the advice.

Have you read the articles on savings and investments? If not i suggest you do to get started and then come back for specific advice.0

Yes and equally the market could fall in that time and it would have been better in the bank.foot_loose wrote:buy another property and rent lease it to the council for 3/5 year or buy a peice of land out right uk or spain and leave it for 5/10 years. don't leave it in the bank inflation will eat it away.0
