Barclays Credit Card PPI Not Upheld

Hi, I've received a Final Response letter from Barclays to advise that my PPI complaint has not been upheld.

Unfortunately I haven't kept any paperwork from when I took out the credit card many many years ago (but I expect that will be the case for many PPI claimants).

The gist of their response is that they can find no evidence to suggest that their sales process at the time, which included obtaining sufficient information to support PPI recommendation, explaining PPI optionality and explaining significant exclusions and limitations, was not followed.

It would seem that my next course of action is to take my complaint to the FOS.

Can anyone give me any guidance to advise if it's worthwhile following up with FOS and what advise what information I should provide that will increase my chances of success.

I look forward to getting a steer!

Regards,
Streaky

    Hi and welcome

Did they say on the letter that this was the final decision?
If not then ask them to reconsider and give them further information if you can, so if you do not agree with the decision they made, try giving your reasons, tell them you feel your complaint has been overlooked.
But otherwise you can complain now to the FOS, they should on the final decision also enclose leaflet details of the FOS if eligible to complain to them.

    Good luck.
    Keep at them, good luck.
