How much carpet do I need for these stairs?

Hi again folks. Starting to feel like this re-furb will kill me - anyone who can answer my question tonight gets...my eternal gratitude!
So we are trying to figure out how much new carpet we need for our landing and stairs. We've figured it out correctly for each landing area, but I just can't figure out the stairs and it's making me want to cry. Can any numerate people here help me out?
So, we have 14 stairs.
Each is 90cm wide, 17cm high and 25 cm deep.
How much carpet will we need?
Thanks!

any carpet shop will be able to tell you.
Best to get a roll end, this tends to be cheaper.0 -
6 feet long 13 feet wide is what you need
4 lenghts cut 3 foot wide and 6 feet long will each do 4 steps:j0 -

Thank you. I am working in meters, so that would translate as 3.9 by 1.8.
Do I just multiply to two to get the 'square meters' figure? Most shops seem to want you to tell them how many square meters.
Really sorry about this - I know I could just go into a shop but I don't want to go in utterly clueless about what I can realistically afford before getting the sales patter.0 -
yes just multiply the two together, most carpet shops will have roll ends that size so that will save you a few bob. Try an independent shop better value :j0

just spent an age typing something and lost it! arrgghhh
but you need it measured, you don't buy carpet by how mant square metres you need, but by how much linear meterage you need off the 4m wide roll!
e.g. Buy 9 square metres for a 3x3 room and you'll get a piece 2.25 x 4.00 that won't fit.
You also have to remeber the top stair off the landing! The riser off it connects to the landing carpet, so you have to allow for that.
To give you a rough idea, take your exact square meterage and add 25%, this should be about what you need, but no decent fitter will agree to fit it without either seeing it first, or having a plan of the area. Some jobs will work out less (maybe net plus 10%, some more)
I'm speaking(typing) as someone who spent a few years selling carpet.
Post all your measurements, including where the stairs come off, and I can help further, but when you measure you have to remember to go from the back of the landing over the top step and doen to the tread of thr step.Unless it is damaged or discontinued - ignore any discount of over 25%0
