Could you let on what your old and new jobs are and were?0 -
sorry to butt in here but this post is similar to the situation me and DH are in.
If DH were to leave work due to stress and recently diagnosed depression would we have to wait to apply for HB and C.Tax?
neither of us have ever claimed a penny but we have a 5 year old and are in a rented house. my work is temp contract based on 0 hours. I havent worked in 2 months and i have not had any luck with jobs applied for.
hubbys mental health will really suffer if he stays much longer, he has been through several referalls for councelling etc but have another 4 weeks wait for a one to one appointment, this has been going on for months months.
Any help please?0 -
Hello Missyp, I'll prob get hissy fits for this but,....I would urge your husband to firstly get good medical advice & more importantly take it.
As for leaving work...if he can find a way to keep going would strongly advice him to do so.. Leaving work (as a choice) is not a good idea. He will struggle to find another job when he feels well enough to do so. You will struggle to find a mortgage (when the time comes) and never 'take off' not something you want for the future or your childs future I'm sure.
Living on benefits is very hard (I know I'm doing it) and being home 24/7 will not work wonders for your relationship, or self asteem. It seems like a good way out, but long term it is almost impossible to get back 'in'. Not the advice you were expecting maybe, but I mean it well and I hope he finds a way to cope. Best wishes.0 -
