Central Prague hotel

Looking at a short break in Prague. There are loads of hotels in the city center.

Has anyone stayed at a hotel that they would recommend?

Thanks,

We returned today from Prague. Stayed at the Lida B&B and although not in the centre, its perfectly located for public transport. Very personal service from the owners who spent a good hour talking us through all the places to go and see and best public transport options. Higlhy recommended
  • I love the K + K Central (not to be confused with their other Prague hotel the K and K Fenix)-

Absolutely stunning! Also has the advantage of being able to take breakfast until 11am weekdays or midday at the weekend (plus it includes local bubbly!) and has the most comfortable beds I've ever slept in. Would recommend in a flash :D
Thanks to everyone who posts comps, I love winning prizes big and small

  • Thanks :-)

The B&B looks really nice but we are only going for 3 nights so think I want to be as central as possible.

Very tempted with the K + K and the mrs likes it too. May go with the sister hotel though, also has good trip advisor reviews and is slightly cheaper.
  • Stayed at the Palace Hotel a while ago and I see it is still getting great reviews on TA, which is how I chose it. I chose for location and the good deal. It is expensive in the summer and a bargain in winter.
  • I've stayed here a few times and its an ideal location, just one road back from Wenceslas Square.....

Its amazing how these banks can't even do simple calculations correctly..............
  • loved the hotel josef
  • I've stayed at the Hotel Ventana, just off the old town square. Beautiful hotel and about as central as you can get.

I've heard good reports about the Hotel Metamorphis and Metamorphis Excellent which are just around the corner from the Ventana close to the Tyn Church.

We stayed at the Aparthotel City 5. Not quite in the centre but very easily walked. Very friendly people, nice big rooms and a kitchen. They picked us up from the airport (small cost but worth it), recommended good places to eat and gave us a nice breakfast. We stayed about 3 days and did everything we wanted from this hotel.

It has good reviews on tripadvisor and is #9 of 666 hotels in Prague.

  • I'd also thorougly recommend the Hotel Josef. My wife and I stayed there a couple of years ago. It was very clean and modern and in a great central location.

We stayed at the Ibis Prague Old Town. It's about 5 mins walk from the Old Town square (when you get your map right and turn the right way out of the hotel!!), but kind of behind it so nice and quiet. Would stay there agian with no worries
