Free Cereal At Tesco (merged)

Got 2 packs of Shreddies in B**sl***n this morning, used 2 coupons but I noticed when I checked the receipt they went through £2.09 each. SEL is £1 so went to CS and got £4.36 DTD with no problems. There are 2 packs left with no SEL as SA took it off.0

I still have about 4 boxes of cereal left from DTD, and was quite looking forward to finishing them as I really need the extra shelf space, but looks like I'll have to make room for a few more boxes because I just can't say no to free cereal!
Thanks OP!!0 -
Just got 7 boxes this morning. Thanks OP.I am firmly across the line. I won't impose my values on you if you keep away from mine.

I gotr 2 no probs this morning, then went back in for another 2, different cashier, who called someone over to check the voucher- neither of them were sure and questioned me about where I'd got it, was it printed or copied etc. They didn't really have a clue, but eventually accepted them!
Please, pretty please!:D

I'm overloaded with cereal from the DTD days but WTH!
It's interesting wording. It says only one coupon can be used "against each purchase". Now I would interpret that as one per box of cereal but I could see why a cashier might read that as one per transaction. It's not clear how they are defining purchase
It also says 1 per customer as I found out at Sainsburys this morning but it depends on the SA , mine scrutinised them and called the supervisor who asked me if they were photocopies.
I bought 4 tins but she would only take 1 coupon.
Last week I bought 4 tins and they took 4 coupons.
Pot luck I think.0 -
Thanks OP. I got eleven boxes in Tesco earlier (got some for family too). I put these through together in one transaction with a few other small items of shopping and these went through fine0

Please please please don't do this. Most coupons will scan and deduct from your bill without any computer checks being done. By going to a manned till, the SA can check that you have bought the item. By scanning the coupon at a self-service till the onus is on you to be honest.
If people do this on a regular basis you'll find that companies such as Nestle will stop giving out coupons and stores like Tesco will remove self-service tills due to fraudulent coupon usage. It's one thing to use a coupon against a similar product (before anyone accuses me of being two-faced, yes I used Dove coupons against the wrong product) but to just use a coupon to get money off your bill is a different story.
LOL whilst I agree with what you're getting at, if there are no checks and relying on ppls honesty how are the supermarkets going to know let alone Nestle etc :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:0 -
