Can anyone recommend good insurance for a £1,200 bicycle?

Thanks

Try your home contents insurance first, as an extension under the Pedal Cycle or Sporting Equipment All risks. Whilst you are on the phone to them double check if it includes liability for you as a cyclist.

    Thanks for the reply.

We actually don't have home insurance as my partner works from home.

Is that because you can't get it as the home is classed as a place of business or because you think if your partner is at home nothing will happen to your possessions? If it's the latter then I assume you are never on holiday or go shopping together, one of you stays up all night to make sure nothing catches on fire, you have emergency buckets scattered around in case of burst pipes, etc., etc.

It is the latter (we do rent at the moment).

In that case I hope you have your fingers crossed that none of those bad things happen, all of which occur every day for people in rented properties just as much as in owned ones.
