TV arial information please

I hope someone can help here.

My elderly mum has had to go into a nurnsing home for a period of rehabilitation. We bought her a TV with inbuilt Freeview and DVD. While in the nursing home it works beautifully as all rooms have arials.

My concern is when she comes home. I want to put it into her bedroom which doesnt have an external arial and we dont wwant to go down the route of sky multiroom for the cost reasons. Is there some sort of really good indoor aral that will let her recieve her digital free sat signal as it seems a shame to have spent all that money on something she wont get a decent reception on at home. Many years ago she had a portable tv in her bedoon and I always remember the reception was appalling.

Freesat ia a satellite service, so you can't receive it through an aerial. However since it worked in the nursing home with an aerial connection, I'm assuming that you have a TV with a built in Freeview tuner too, and she was watching freeview there. Decent Freeview reception usually (but not always) requires a proper external aerial.
I'm unclear what connection she already has at home though. If she is getting Freesat in another room, then she must already have a working dish-in that case all you need to do is run another feeed run from the LNB to the relevant bedroom to get Freesat there.
If no dish, she must already have an aerial to get Freeview-so you'd need to get another feed run from the aerial, with an amplifier if necessary, to the new bedroom.

Thanks for the reply. I need to clarify a few things I think. I should have said built in freeview I think. My mistake forgive me.

Mym lives with me now and I have Sky in the lounge but I don't have any multiroom sub and I won't be getting it.

So, will I need to buy a new external ariel when she comes home. I am totally non technical even as far as TVs go as you can see:o

So why not just get a Sky box on eBay/car boot sale for next to nothing and then run a new feed from the LNB to her bedroom? That'll give her all the Freesat From Sky channels (similar to Freeview) for no ongoing cost.
PS: ariel is a washing powder.
