Hot Tub - electrical fault

I purchased a brand new hot tub from a trader on e-bay. This developed a serious fault and was causing electric shocks from the water. I have returned it to the supplier and requested a refund as I have no confidence in the product now. They are suggesting that this is the first time it's happened and they will replace all of the electrical components for "my safety" and send it back to me. I have told them that I'm not happy with this proposal but it's being ignored. What are my rights? Thanks

They are fine to do this. They can select, repair, refund, or replacement.0

They have the right to repair, replace or refund it, their choice and so it is their right to repair it and send it back to you.0

how long ago did you buy it? You may only be entitled to a repair or replacement.0

Out of curiosity, how did you know it was causing electric shocks from the water? Did you chuck the cat in?"Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0
