Have a single glazed mobile home and we use it for day living but despite radiators it can get really cold in winter.
Was wondering if there's a coating or something for the doors n windows to help keep the heat in.

Only ones I've seen are secondary glazing, either glass or plastic, or the film type.0

Do you know anything more about the film type ?:beer:0

Secondary DG is what you are looking for. The film type is very cheap and cheap for a reason. You need to look at glass or plastic sheet type to be any good and robust enough to last.Eat vegetables and fear no creditors, rather than eat duck and hide.0

if you can draught proof the wiondows you can get thermal curtains which might be more effective0

I used the film last year and think it did make a difference.0

There are 3 main types of secondary glazing
Film
This is a cheap short term solution. It will last for about a season but will insulate your windows and should make a positive difference. the price usually starts from £4.40 ex delivery for a window 1.5 x 1.2m. The kit consists of a sheet of clear film with double sided tape which you fit over your window and frame and use a hair dryer to get it to fit tightly. Once you remove the film it cannot be reused.
Fixed Panel
This is a panel of glass clear solid plastic (usually acrylic) that you fit onto your window frame with various fittings e.g. magnetic tape, easyfix edging, glazing strips. The fittings should mean that you can remove the panel for cleaning or in the Summer when it isn't required. This is as effective as the film but much longer lasting and attractive to look at . The price would start from £45.00 ex delivery for a window 1.2 x 1.2M.
Opening Panels
These are usually units that are made from glass with an aluminium and wood frame. The various opening styles are horizontal sliders, vertical sliders (sash),hinged units and lift outs. They are long lasting permanent solutions. They should be supplied as ready assembled units for you to screw onto your window frames or reveals. Different specifications of glass are available to improve heat or sound insulation. They are more expensive and prices start from £170.00 for a 1 x 1M window.
Hope this helps explains the differences. If you are unsure it is worth trying the film first to see how you get on with it so you don't make a costly mistake.
