Parking ticket at ASDA

Hi
I took my disabled mum to ASDA last Sunday and parked in a disabled bay at ASDA car park. The blue badge was on the dash board in its wallet which was closed. When i came out of the store I had a parking ticket from a company called CMS UK LTD, for £90 or £50 if paid within 2 weeks. I have read a few threads on here and I think I have made a big mistake. I went on the CMS web page and filled in the online appeal form so they know I am the keeper of the car and I was the driver? Should I just ignore any future letters from them ?

Yes, just ignore them. You could write to ASDA complaining about the treatment you received from their agents. What part of "A whop bop-a-lu a whop bam boo" don't you understand?0

Doubly, when your 'appeal' is turned down, which it will be, then you will come to understand they don't give a stuff that you were a legitimate Blue Badge holder and that you simply made a genuine error and didn't display your badge (not that this actually matters I understand in a private car park)... they just want your money!
The only mistake you have made is spent a few moment of your life engaging with these crooks! It also means they will send you more letters because they think you are a soft touch... show them that you are not and ignore anything they now send you!
If you want to do something, save up the 'correspondence' (threatening letters) and send it all to Asda House in Leeds asking if they think this is an acceptable way to treat their disabled customers!0 -
CMS - very well known little company from Lytham.
Simply ignore them. They have never ever taken anyone to court anyway.
The online 'appeal form' is just a trick to make you think it's all legit. And you fell for it! Makes no difference anyway - you just have a templates 'appeal failed' letter to look forward to in the post.
Relax and ignore their letters. They'll give up after 3 or 4.0 -
"thank you for your appeal, we have carefully considered it and have decided to reject it, the charge is now XXX"
Complain to Asda, saying that due to harassment from the parking company you are considering taking legal action under the equalities act 2010 and shall be shopping at *name local rival*.0
