Best monthly interest

I want to put £80.000 somewhere safe and take the interest monthly. Which account would you all suggest and how much can I expect back monthly. Thankyou

If you want to put it in a savings account, I would split it between at least two places so you get the benefit of the Financial Services Compensation Scheme, which pays out a proportion of the money lost in the event of banks or building societies going bust. Which of course we hope that doesn't happen.

Interest rates have just gone up, so i would wait for a month to allow for all the variable rate accounts to go up if they are going to. Then see what are the best rates going.
Indecision is the key to flexibility :)
