Names on cheques: ploy to make them more difficult to use?

    IMO Nationwide have made a mistake here.
    If the full name of the customer is say A N Other then cheques should be accepted to either A Other or N Other or A N Other or even Mrs Other!

    my card just has my initial on it, not sure about my nationwide card, but what a silly policy!
