if i claim to my bank for ppi refund can they close my bank account

    Hi there, no they cannot,this would be treating you unfairly.
    If they did this,i dont think they would have many customers left !!.
  • Interesting timing though that a month after putting my PPI claim in on a loan through my bank, I'm now getting calls about reducing my overdaft limit which has been the same for at least 5 years! Fine once they pay me what they have fleeced me for over the duration of the loan!

    This stinks! but to be honest,we expect things like this from them now,they went to court and lost and now they want some of the billions back that they have paid out.

    Having said that,i won a claim from my bank and (touchwood) they didnt reduce my overdraft and that was 3 years ago.
  • Looking at it from a neutral point of view it might simply be coincidence. I'm not sure that banks are able to co-ordinate that sort of 'revenge' bearing in mind it would be happening to a lot of people if they were trying to get their digs in. Banks these days are lots of departments which occasionally speak to each other, not a single entity or team.
