Hi, when i filled out my online application to join TalkTalk BB and phone line, the form didn't ask me for my MAC code for broadband (got this from Sky). Will they ask me later on in the process?
Thanks

TT don't need one, they're LLU.
And the very best of luck BTW.Time has moved on (much quicker than it used to - or so it seems at my age) and my previous advice on residential telephony has been or is now gradually being overtaken by changes in the retail market. Hence, I have now deleted links to my previous 'pearls of wisdom'. I sincerely hope they helped save some of you money.0 -

I've read a lot about the poor service TT offer, but (touch wood) i've never had a problem with them. I was with them before i moved to Sky at this property and still have another line and BB at another property....Sky offered me FREE line rental for a year when i threatened to leave them last year, but no offers this time around.

If you are already on a Sky LLU line it's unlikely that you'll be able to go direct to TT anyway. Direct LLU to LLU transfers are rarely possible, and certainly not with TT in charge of things...
Let us know how you get on.
If it does go through, don't believe TT if they tell you that will cancel Sky for you-they won't, you must do this yourself if you want to avoid double billing. No free lunch, and no free laptop0 -
Good luck with that New_Dude....you will need it!
God help you if you ever need to speak to anyone at TalkTalk

Hi NewDude,
If you have signed up for a package which includes Broadband you will be connecting to TalkTalk LLU equipment in the exchange and no mac is necessary.
As mac-man advised if you are on LLU with Sky this may require further action before the transfer completes. However, this should have already been confirmed at the point of sale (as the attempted orders are rejected either on the website or via telephone sales) if applicable.
When any service is transferred to LLU this should automatically send a wholesale order to the old supplier to cancel services, as this is being disconnected from the Open Reach network at the exchange. It is however prudent to check with your old supplier that they have received this order.
If you have any queries feel free to join us on the TalkTalk Members forum where we can provide full account and service support.
