Anyone good with Excel???

I am trying to set up my invoices, so that they pick up text by typing a letter or two of what I need - I want it to pick up what I want and then put the correct price next to it - is this possible?

I think you will have to create a table with all the data in it in separate fields, then use the VLOOKUP or HLOOKUP function to interogate the data.

Mind you it is some time since I did this for my NVQ3!

couple of possible ways of doing it, easiest might be a drop down list and a vlookup for the price, all depends on the way you have set the spreadsheet up however

agree with the above, data validation for in-cell drop down, and a vlookup to get the price.

Or can do a nested IF if there are only a few options (or if there are loads and you can be bothered to type it all)
