I am trying to set up my invoices, so that they pick up text by typing a letter or two of what I need - I want it to pick up what I want and then put the correct price next to it - is this possible?

I think you will have to create a table with all the data in it in separate fields, then use the VLOOKUP or HLOOKUP function to interogate the data.
Mind you it is some time since I did this for my NVQ3!0 -
Hello,
You might be better off using access!

I dont have access for some reason - I always used to!0 -
couple of possible ways of doing it, easiest might be a drop down list and a vlookup for the price, all depends on the way you have set the spreadsheet up howeverDrop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -
agree with the above, data validation for in-cell drop down, and a vlookup to get the price.
Or can do a nested IF if there are only a few options (or if there are loads and you can be bothered to type it all)"We can all fly as high as the dreams we dare to live...........unless we are a chicken" ~ Anon.0
