Have BT Changed Their Billing Cycle?

My mum has BT line rental and Anytime tariff. Her last bill was on 10/6. I logged into her online account, as a bill should have been due around 10/9 (she's always been on quarterly billing). But it's now displaying 'your next bill is due 10/12'.
Why have they changed the billing cycle to 6 monthly, and should she not have received some notice of this?
Has anyone else noticed the same?

Perhaps the 10/9 bill is in the preparation stage, ie the info has been taken off your account and the date reset to 10/12 but the bill has not appeared yet??
My next bill is due on 21/9 so I will keep my eye on it.
Edit: just logged in to my account and the next bill date is 23/9, so still quarterly.0
