Value wheatabix

Just opened a new box of Value(Blue stripe) Wheatabix and the taste is appalling! I dont just mean bland or tasteless, but tastes really awful. Now I dont have any issues with Blue stripe stuff, somethings are fine and others -teabags,toilet rolls, etc., pretty rubbishy.(Before anyone makes a comment about eating toilet rolls or teabags...) These wheatabix looked like cardboard but smelt and tasted mouldy and dampish despite being a new box. actually leaving a taste in the mouth afterwards. Before I fire off a letter of complaint to Mr T can anyone confirm this or has anyone had any similar problems? I once mixed up different brands of Jaffa cakes for my daughter convinced that there was no difference in the taste. She picked out the "real" ones every time.Damn.

Yes, I'm with you on this one. I'm a supporter of a lot of tesco value products, but the value weetabix is just awful.Best competition wins:

im with you too - we get the tescos own (not value
) now instead of proper wheatabix so it saves a bit and i think tastes the same too as we have 3 at a time

Thanks for your replies,All. Do you think its worth a letter to Mr T's?0

yes either a letter or email - explain the situation what was wrong as sometimes they should at least give you your money back or at the very least take it back to the store for a refund

They are rubbish as cereal but make fantastic weetabix cake. Before you bin them, you might want to give that a go?0

Yes completely rubbish. The regular own brand are ok. Funnily enough the expensive posh organic ones also taste of rubbish (due to no salt maybe) so its not an exclusive value thing
Who'd have thought biscuits of wholeweat would be so hard to get right?? lol0 -

I bought the cheap ones from Tesco once and think they went out to feed the birds, but the Morrisons ones aren't to bad.Liverpool is one of the wonders of Britain,
What it may grow to in time, I know not what.
